Why direct ordering matters
Delivery apps bring new customers, but they take a large commission on every order and they keep the customer relationship. Your regulars, the people who already know and like your food, are the ones worth moving to a direct channel. A direct ordering site lets them order from you without the commission, gives you their contact details, and lets you reward them for coming back.
Most restaurants run both: the apps for discovery, the website for loyal customers, large orders, catering and pickup.
What the ordering system does
- Menu with categories, photos, prices, modifiers (size, extras, spice level), allergens and "sold out" toggles your staff flip from a phone.
- Ordering for delivery or pickup, with delivery zones and fees by area, minimum order, and opening hours that switch ordering off automatically.
- Payment online by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, or cash on delivery.
- WhatsApp confirmation to the customer and a WhatsApp or tablet alert to the kitchen, with the full order.
- QR menus for tables: the same menu, optimised for reading at the table, with optional ordering to the table number.
- Reservations with party size, time and special requests, confirmed by WhatsApp.
What a restaurant site includes
Built for a busy kitchen
The admin is designed for service hours: large buttons, a live order list, one tap to accept, mark ready or out for delivery, and a daily summary of orders and revenue. Menu changes, from a new special to a price change, are live in seconds. If you run several branches, each branch sees only its own orders.
